7. (1) The Council shall-(a) elect from amongst its members a Vice President and an Honorary Treasurer;(b) constitute from amongst its members an Executive Committee, and such other Committees for general or special purposes as the Council deems necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act;(c) with the previous approval of the Government, appoint a Registrar on such terms and conditions as may be approved by the Government;(d) appoint such other officers and employees as the Council deems necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act;(e) require and take from the Treasurer, or from any other officers or employees, such security for the due performance of his duties as the Council deems necessary; and(f) with the previous approval of the Government, fix the remuneration and allowances to be paid to the officers and employees of the Council. (2) All persons appointed under this section shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860).
