(1) Whoever wilfully procures or attempts to procure himself to be registered under this Act as a medical practitioner or dentist making or producing or causing to be made or produced any false or fraudulent representation or declaration, either orally or in writing, and any person who assists him therein, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to Taka two thousand, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with both.(2) Whoever falsely pretends to be registered under this Act as a medical practitioner or dentist or, not being registered under this Act, uses with his name or title any words or letters representing that he is so registered, irrespective of whether any person is actually deceived by such pretence or representation or not, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to Taka two thousand, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with both.
