(1) When the compensation mentioned in the award has been paid or is deemed to have been paid in pursuance of section 10, the property shall stand acquired and vest absolutely in the Government free from all encumbrances, and the Deputy Commissioner shall thereupon take possession of the property. (2) Immediately after the acquisition of the property under sub-section (1), a declaration by the Deputy Commissioner in the prescribed form to that effect shall be published in the official Gazette.
