SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS

Definition of piece-goods
19. For the purpose of section 12 of this Act and 1[clause (f) of section 15 of the Customs Act, 1969,] the Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, declare what classes of goods are included in the expression ÔÇÿpiece-goods such as are ordinarily sold by length or by the piece'.

    The words, brackets, letter, figures and commas “clause (f) of section 15 of the Customs Act, 1969,” were substituted, for the words, brackets, letter, figure and commas “clause (f) of section 18 of the Sea Customs Act, 1878, as amended by the Act” by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)
