80. (1) The Corporation shall adopt such measures to prevent infectious diseases and to restrain infection within the City as the rules and by-laws may provide. (2) The Corporation may, and if so required by the Government, shall, establish and maintain one or more hospitals for the reception and treatment of persons suffering from infectious diseases. (3) The Corporation may, in the prescribed manner, frame and implement schemes for the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
