2. In this Ordinance, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) “Board” means the Bangladesh Rural Development Board established under section 3; (b) “cooperative society” shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Cooperative Societies Act, 1940 (Ben. Act XXI of 1940);(c) “Director-General” means the Director-General of the Board; (d) “member” means a member of the Board and includes the Chairman of the Board; (e) “prescribe” means prescribed by rules; and (f) “TCCA” means the Thana Central Cooperative Association registered under the Cooperative Societies Act, 1940 (Ben. Act XXI of 1940).
