513. Notwithstanding the repeal of any law by section 512, and without prejudice to section 24 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act X of 1897),-(a) any notification, rule, regulation, bye law, order or exemption issued, made or granted under any such law shall have effect as if it had been issued, made or granted under the corresponding provision of this Ordinance;(b) any officer appointed and any body elected or constituted under any such law shall continue and shall be deemed to have been appointed, elected or constituted, as the case may be, under the corresponding provision of this Ordinance;(c) any document referring to any such law shall be, construed as referring, as far as may be, to this Ordinance or to the corresponding provision of this Ordinance;(d) mortgages of ships recorded in any Register Book maintained at any port in Bangladesh under any such law shall be deemed to have been recorded in the Register Book maintained under the corresponding provision of this Ordinance; and(e) any licence, certificate or document issued, granted or made under any such law and in force on the coming into force of this Ordinance, or of any specified provision thereof, shall continue in force and be deemed to have been issued, granted or made under the corresponding provision of this Ordinance.
