31. (1) The officers of the Directorate of Fisheries not below the rank of Assistant Inspector of Marine Fisheries, members of the Bangladesh Navy not below the rank of petty officer, any officer of customs and any other person or class of persons appointed by the Government shall be authorised officers for the purposes of this Ordinance and the rules made thereunder. (2) The Government shall, by notification in the official Gazette, publish the name or designation of any person or class of persons appointed under sub-section (1).
