Power to stop vessels
34. Where it becomes necessary for an authorised officer to stop any vessel for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this Ordinance and the rules made thereunder, it shall be lawful for any vessel or aircraft under the command of an authorised officer to summon such vessel to stop by means of an international signal, code or other recognised means, and if it fails to do so, the vessel may be pursued even beyond the Bangladesh fisheries waters and if after a gun is fired as a warning, to the vessel to stop, and if it fails to stop after such a warning, it may be fired upon.
