10. ¹[(1) There shall be a Chairman of the Board who shall be appointed by the Government from amongst the appointed Directors.] (2) If a vacancy occurs in the office of the Chairman or if the Chairman is unable to discharge the functions of his office on account of absence, illness or any another cause, the Government may authorise any other director, other than the Managing Director, to discharge the functions of the Chairman during the period for which he is so unable.
