The Local Government (Union Parishads) Ordinance, 1983

Transfer of functions from Union Parishads to Government and vice versa
35. Notwithstanding anything in this Ordinance or in any other law for the time being in force, the Government may from time to time direct that, subject to such terms and conditions as may be specified in the direction,-
 
 
 
 
(a) any institution or service maintained by a Union Parishad shall be transferred to the management and control of the Government or 1[any other authority]; and
 
 
 
 
(b) any institution or service maintained by the Government or 2[any other authority] shall be transferred to the management and control of a Union Parishad.
