OFFENCES, PENALTIES AND PROCEDURE

Unauthorised interference with vehicle
158. Whoever otherwise than with lawful authority or reasonable excuse enters or mounts any stationary motor vehicle or tampers with the brake or any part of the mechanism of any part of the body, or the speed governor or the speed governor seal, or the taxi meter (fare meter), or the taxi meter seal of a motor vehicle shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to 1[three months], or with fine which may extend to 2[one thousand] Taka, or with both.
