2. In this Ordinance, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-(a) “Board” means the Board of Governors of the Institute;(b) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Board;¹[ (bb) “Council” means বাংলাদেশ কৃষি গবেষণা কাউন্সিল established by বাংলাদেশ কৃষি গবেষণা কাউন্সিল আইন, ১৯৯৬ (১৯৯৬ সনের ৭ নং আইন );](c) “Institute” means the Fisheries Research Institute established under section 3;(d) “Member” means a member of the Board; and(e) “prescribed” means prescribed by rules or regulations made under this Ordinance.
