74. (1) The Corporation may by notice require the owner or occupier of any building or land which is in insanitary or unwholesome state-(a) to clean or otherwise put it in a proper state;(b) to make arrangements to the satisfaction of the Corporation for its proper sanitation;(c) to lime-wash the building and to make such essential repairs as may be specified in the notice; and(d) to take such other steps in regard to such building or land as may be so specified. (2) If any requirement of a notice issued under sub-section (1) is not complied with, within such period as may be specified in the notice, the Corporation may cause the necessary step to be taken at the expense of the owner or occupier, and the cost so incurred by the Corporation shall be deemed to be a tax levied on the owner or occupier under this Ordinance.
