(1) The Corporation may, and if so required by the Government shall, establish and maintain such number of hospitals and dispensaries as may be necessary for the medical relief of the inhabitants of the City, and the people visiting it. (2) Every hospital and dispensary maintained by the Corporation shall be managed and administered in such manner as may be prescribed. (3) Subject to any directions that may be given in this behalf by the Government, every hospital and dispensary maintained by the Corporation shall be provided with such drugs, medicines, instruments, appliances, equipments, apparatus and furniture in accordance with such scale and standards as may be prescribed.
