20D. Any police officer or any officer of the Authority authorised by it in this behalf, either by general or by special order, may halt, inspect and search any vehicle on or near anybridge or toll-road, or may examine and search any person driving, travelling in or in charge of such vehicle, if there is reason to believe that any provisions of this Ordinance, or of any rules or regulations, or of any orders or directions made or given by the Authority thereunder, have been contravened in respect of such vehicle or by such person.
