(1) Every employee shall be liable to pay to the Fund a monthly subscription equal to one per cent of his pay or twenty Taka, whichever is less, and the amount of such subscription shall be deducted half-yearly from his pay at the time of its disbursement and credited to the Fund. (2) Where the amount of subscription cannot for any reason be deducted from the pay of the employee, the employee shall remit to the Board the amount of subscription payable by him and any amount of subscription remaining unpaid for any reason shall be recoverable from him in such manner as the Board may direct. (3) Default in the payment of the subscription for any reason whatsoever shall not affect the right of an employee or the right of his family to receive any welfare grant under this Ordinance, but the amount of unpaid subscription shall be deducted from the welfare grant.
