Whoever, in any application for obtaining a loan, advance or credit or in any balance sheet, statement of profit and loss, declaration or any other document submitted to the Bank in respect of any financial aid sought or granted under this Ordinance, wilfully makes a false statement or knowingly permits any false statement to be made or to remain or uses or permits to be used any loan, advance, or credit for any purpose other than that for which it is granted by the Bank shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand taka, or with both.
