Form of Charges

Court may alter charge
227.(1) Any Court may alter or add to any charge at any time before judgment is pronounced 1[* * *].
(2) Every such alteration or addition shall be read and explained to the accused.

    The commas and words ", or, in the case of trials before the Court of Session or High Court Division, before the verdict of the jury is returned or the opinions of the assessors are expressed" were omitted by section 2 and Schedule of the Law Reforms Ordinance, 1978 (Ordinance No. XLIX of 1978)
