Provision for administration by Consular Officer, in case of death in certain circumstances of foreign subject
57. Notwithstanding anything in this Act, or in any other law for the time being in force, the Government may, by general or special order, direct that, where subject of a foreign State dies in Bangladesh and it appears that there is no one in Bangladesh other than the Administrator General, entitled to apply to a Court of competent jurisdiction for letters of administration of the estate of the deceased, letters of administration shall, on the application to such Court of any Consular Officer of such foreign state, be granted to such Consular Officer on such terms and conditions as the Court may, subject to any rules made in this behalf by the Government by notification in the official Gazette think fit to impose.
