3. In section 2 of the said Act,-

(a) in clause (1) for the words "an aerial ropeway", the words "an aerial ropeway or overhead monorail crane" shall be substituted;

(b) for clause (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"(3) “Deputy Commissioner” means the Deputy Commissioner of the Chittagong Hill-tracts and includes any officer specially appointed by the ¹[Government] to discharge the functions of a Deputy Commissioner under this Regulation;";

(c) for sub-clause (iv) of clause (9), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"(iv) any company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1913."; and 

(d) sub-clause (v) of clause (9) shall be omitted.
