9.(1) Any person who induces a female to go from any place with intent that she may, for the purposes of prostitution, become the inmate of, or frequent a brothel, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine which may extend to one thousand Taka, or with both, and, if a male person, shall also be liable to whipping.(2) An offence under this section shall be triable in the place from which the female was induced to go, or in any place to which she may have gone as a result of such inducement.
