Inspection of vehicle involved in accident
[105. When any accident occurs in which a motor vehicle is involved, any Inspector of Motor Vehicles or any other technically qualified officer duly authorised in this behalf by the Authority may, if required by any Police Officer or owner of the vehicle concerned, inspect the vehicle in the prescribed manner and for that purpose may enter at any reasonable time any premises where the vehicle may be, and may remove the vehicle for examination:
Provided that, the place to which the vehicle is so removed shall be intimated to the owner of the vehicle and the vehicle shall be returned to the owner in a metropolitan area within forty-eight hours and elsewhere within seventy-two hours of accident.]
