SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS

Grant of sites for sailors’ institutes

65. Any local authority in which any immoveable property in or near a port is vested may, with the previous sanction, ¹[of the Government], appropriate and either retain and apply, or transfer by way of gift or otherwise, the whole or any part of the property as a site for, or for use as, a sailors' home or other institution for the health, recreation and temporal well-being of sailors.

The words "of the Government" were substituted, for the commas and words ", in case of a cantonment authority or the port authority of a major port, of the Central Government, and in other cases, of the Provincial Government" by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)
