THE REGISTRATION OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS ORDINANCE, 1962

(EAST PAKISTAN ORDINANCE NO. XX OF 1962).

     An Ordinance to provide for the registration of private schools in Bangladesh. 1 2
 
    WHEREAS, in order to supervise and regulate the working of private schools in Bangladesh, it is expedient to provide for registration of such schools;



NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Presidential Proclamation of the seventh day of October, 1958, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance, namely:-
   
 
 
   
 
 
 
1 Throughout this Ordinance, the word “Bangladesh” was substituted for the words “East Pakistan” by Article 5 of the Bangladesh (Adaptation of Existing Laws) Order, 1972 (President’s Order No. 48 of 1972)

2 Throughout this Ordinance, the word “Government” was substituted for the words “Provincial Government” by section 2 of the Registration of Private Schools (Amendment) Act, 1989 (Act No. XVIII of 1989)
