(1) Where the Government is satisfied- (a) that the Government of any country has accepted or denounced the Safety Convention or the Load Line Convention, or (b) that the Safety Convention or the Load Line Convention extends or has ceased to extend to any territory,it may, by notification in the official Gazette, make a declaration to that effect. (2) Any declaration made in any form whatsoever to the effect mentioned in sub section (1) and in force immediately before the commencement of this Ordinance shall be deemed to have been made under that sub section.
